Spaghetti Carbonara
Serves two.
Time: 15-20 minutes.
Ingredients
- 210g spaghetti
- 150g peas (optional)
- 2 eggs
- 40g grated Parmesan
- 40g grated Cheddar
- 80g pack of lardons
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 20g butter
- A glug of olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- Cook spaghetti in boiling water with two pinches of salt and a glug of olive oil for 8-10 minutes.
- In a bowl, whisk eggs and grated cheeses.
- Fry lardons with crushed garlic in butter for seven minutes.
- Add the peas to the spaghetti with five minutes to go.
- When cooked, almost fully drain spaghetti and add it to the pan with lardons and garlic.
- Lower the heat, add the egg and cheese mixture, and mix well.
- Season with black pepper and salt to taste, and serve.
